Our Mission

Positive Impact and Wellness Initiative (PIWI) exists to support, empower, and advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV). We combine compassionate peer support, practical skills and health education, fearless anti-discrimination advocacy, specialised care for women to prevent mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), and strong partnerships with government agencies and civil society.

Our Vision

A compassionate, inclusive, and stigma-free society where every person living with HIV/AIDS enjoys full human dignity, quality healthcare, and economic independence—and where no child is born with HIV.

The 5 Core Aims & Objectives of PIWI

  1. To support and advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS so they receive dignified care, treatment access, and psychosocial support.
  2. To teach people living with HIV/AIDS important skills and health knowledge to help them live healthier, more independent, and better lives.
  3. To speak out boldly against stigma and discrimination targeting people living with HIV/AIDS in workplaces, healthcare facilities, families, and communities.
  4. To pay special attention to the unique challenges faced by women living with HIV/AIDS, including preventing HIV from passing to their children (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission — PMTCT).
  5. To partner with government agencies, NGOs, healthcare institutions, and community groups to make a bigger, sustainable difference for people living with HIV/AIDS.

1. Strictly Confidential Care

Every person living with HIV/AIDS who connects with PIWI is supported with complete privacy, dignity, and warmth.

2. Zero Stigma & Equal Rights

We challenge discrimination in clinics, workplaces, and families while teaching skills that build lasting self-reliance.

3. Women & PMTCT Priority

We walk alongside expectant and nursing mothers living with HIV to prevent mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT).
