Privacy Notice, Confidentiality & Data Protection Policy
How PIWI protects your privacy and strictly safeguards enquiries in compliance with Nigerian data protection standards.
1. Strict Confidentiality & Data Minimisation
Because PIWI serves and advocates for people living with HIV/AIDS, confidentiality is our highest ethical and legal duty. When you use our public contact form to enquire about partnerships, volunteering, or programmes, we collect only your name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry category, and message. Please do not submit personal medical records, HIV test results, or clinical case files through the general website contact form.
2. How Enquiries Are Protected
All website enquiries are encrypted in transit and stored in an access-controlled database protected by PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS). Only authorised PIWI administrators can view or respond to submitted messages.
3. Your Rights Under Nigerian Data Protection Law (NDPA)
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or immediate deletion of any enquiry you have submitted to PIWI by contacting info@piwi.org.ng.
